Garden Chair Makeover

I bought this green iron chair many years ago while on a "girls weekend" in Maine.  It was my last find of the weekend and although my friend Cheryl's SUV was packed solid, we managed to cram it in....I was NOT going home without it! :)

I brought it up from the basement last week to give it a fresh look before it went outside to its rightful place under our maple tree.  I thought of painting the entire chair with Annie Sloan's Chalk Paint in Antoinette....a pretty light pink.

(Notice the rubber band around the can - I spied this idea on Pinterest - easiest way ever to swipe excess paint from your brush)

Once I started painting I decided to keep the arms green so as to give it some contrast.  I like it...kind of gives it a 1950's feel

I'm going to give it a coat of wax, let it cure for a few days and then outside it'll go.
